Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding, in all your ways submit to him and he will make your paths straight. One of my go to verses in the Bible as it reminds me that he sees us all where we are at, will meet us where we are at as he sees the overall picture of the beginning, middle and end with his ultimate purpose. I enjoyed your message on following ones heart or allowing our hearts to lead the way, and the concept of nature as with me nature speaks loud and clear with its preciseness and intricacy as God designed his creation to be, filled with his spirit and our soul to embrace the heart of it all.
Absolutely brilliant! You have a natural 'gift' - writing! ALL that you've written here rings true to me as I'm sure many others feel some connection to your heart centered words. Those in the power positions creating all this upset are soulless. IF these billionaires are so concerned about our planet, why aren't THEY doing anything POSITIVE from a 'loving' place to pool their funds to fix it vs finding ways to destroy LIFE; our lives, animals, pets, the FORESTS! Continue to follow YOUR heart and breathe in and out your internal wisdom for you certainly have that!
This song was released when I was 24 years-old, yet I still think about it daily when 72. The politicians running Canada do exactly the opposite of this song's knowledge! They have no knowledge, only lies and attempts to commit more mass-murder on all of us with the help of their beloved Nazi cult WEF.
Wonderful to read the depth of your inner dialogue and your life reflections at what seems like an early age . It reminds me of the current book I am reading - Meditations by Marcus Aurelius and for some reason - maybe the nature reflections - Richard Power's book : The Overstory .
I love your philosophical piece, Lluvias! I appreciate your comments about nature . . . Once, I noticed a pattern in leaves that is the same pattern in our nervous systerm! There's one main vein in a deciduous leaf and then from that one main vein smaller veins that spread out to its fullness. WOW! I thought. Our nervous system is like that! We have one main branch - the spinal column and then off of that are all the nerves getting smaller and smaller as they spread out to all parts of the body. In fact, a tree has this same pattern. From the trunck grow the branches. It's a pattern in nature.
Have a wonderful rest focused on the heart with awareness of the Presence of Love and Peace.
What an excellent post. You hit to the heart of the matter. OUR History. A rapid ascent into progress to our own demise. How far can we go? Or should we go? I stopped in 2011, when the progression of SMART tech started to ramp up the need for better ifones. I opted out. Instincts plus practicality. I didn't see the NEED!! I grew up with NO cell phones in my life. Land line only. THEY tell us we need certain things. NO, we don't. "Many people are very successful with-out cell phones? Tax and Constit lawyer, Rocco Galati. As that old song goes, "...and we got to get ourselves, back to the Garden." My Heart always ruled but always followed my gut instincts. This last Sh* t storm that we're facing, did it. That little voice that speaks to you, spoke. It said, "Wait, just wait." and I did. Turns out we , the fringe minority, were right. That voice was God speaking. My Higher power and I followed. Your question is "Who would I be?" God only knows. <3 <3 <3
God Bless you and yours and Happy New Year to all .
Lluvias, the sentiments you and others report about following your heart put me in mind of an article by A Midwestern Doctor, an anonymous practitioner who pens what she calls 'heart-centered writing' about once-known and often-forgotten medical procedures in a Substack called The Forgotten Side of Medicine (your father might be familiar with this writer). Here are the first two paragraphs:
"Modern science is founded upon a materialistic paradigm that rejects anything that suggests there is more to each human being than just our flesh and bones. Yet, as medical science finds more and more ways to pry open the doors between life and death, evidence always emerges suggesting the spirit is just as much a part of the human experience as our bodies and minds.
"For example, cardiac resuscitation, a modern scientific miracle, made it possible to bring individuals who had died back from beyond the grave. In turn, there are many cases of resuscitated individuals reporting experiences (such as one witnessing and then recalling events that happened while they were clinically dead) that challenge medical science’s conception that consciousness arises from electrical activity within the brain."
By far your best column yet. Do we control our minds or do they control us? When we look out at nature we do so with our hearts, when we consider nature, we do so with our minds. Nature doesn't respond to our minds, only to our hearts. As Blake said, to see the universe in a grain of sand. Understanding nature is the booby prize! Steve Friedman, West Kelowna
I am relational entities connected to God, humanity, and nature.
The Who:
I am Trivium Tribe curious, Trivium Tribe friendly, a returner of smiles, an instigator of I-love-you's and bird listener, a cat & dog petter, an instigator of loving kindness and playfulness.
I find the what-ifs are good too.
I find what-if questions helpful.
What if my heart led my life?
It does, as long as I patiently use the flow of time and wait for ego to stop talking for a New York minute.
What if my habit was to listen to my heart first? If I listened to my heart first AND reported back to her after five breaths or so, I think I could be pretty near perfect, and then I could try out for God. OK, not quite.
I find that life is like auditioning for the position of my best self while simultaneously practicing to become that good.
But, oh how I wish that you would give credit to God! He isn’t the god of evolution but the Great Creator God…….creator of all! Please look around at all the beauty ………that has been marred over the centuries by us, our sin and destructive ways! There is still beauty and order in spite of us. I cannot get out of my mind the beauty of this past ‘colour season’……spectacular! To God be the glory!

Thanks for speaking truth to that new age rant.

The article is called, 'Do Organs Have a Mind of Their Own?' and is located here (sorry I don't know how to link it): [https://www.midwesterndoctor.com/p/do-organs-have-a-mind-of-their-own].
Given the chance, life reveals its depths.
Amazing!
A wonderful commentary. Well done.

That photo says it all.
Mr. Trozzi,
Who would I be?
Who would you be?
What am I?
What are you?
The what helps me determine the who.
The What:
I am relational entities connected to God, humanity, and nature.
The Who:
I am Trivium Tribe curious, Trivium Tribe friendly, a returner of smiles, an instigator of I-love-you's and bird listener, a cat & dog petter, an instigator of loving kindness and playfulness.
